Life in the Pasta Lane
Well this is... a game. I stumbled across a set of free pasta vocal samples on TikTok by user @inf1n1temusic and I challenged myself to use them. This is the result.
Lately I've been getting stuck on art assets, trying to make everything "perfect" and ending up making nothing at all. For this project, I made a rule for myself. No second drafts. Just keep moving. Is the title screen messy? Yup. Does that garlic bread look realistic? Nope. Keep going. It was wonderfully freeing, and I got out of my rut and made it through the entirety of the game! This is my second project in Unity, and I learned SO so much.
All the art is by me. The men are parodies inspired by an episode of The PowerPuff Girls from 1998. The "macaroni", "fettachiney" and "penne" sounds are from the sound pack by inf1n1temusic. All the other sound effects were recorded by me, mostly smacking various things in my apartment against each other. The music is by the Composer Squad. The code is by me.

I made it to level 60! If you get a hold of it, it's actually pretty easy. I now remember the names of pastas
